Carol Kopelman has been serving as Honorary Consul of Morocco since 2011. She has been heading the Consulate General in Boston since the previous Consul General retired in July 2017.
With an MBA from Simmons College and an MPH in International Health from Boston University, Ms. Kopelman is an experienced aerospace consultant and international public health researcher. Her international background includes several years as Executive Director of the Consular Corps College, an appointment as United Nations representative for the FICAC international consular organization, and a posting as the Budget & Fiscal Manager at the American Embassy in Bamako, Mali. Locally, she served for many years both on the board of the Brookline High School 21st Century Fund and as member and chair of the board of Safe Havens Interfaith Partnership against Domestic Violence. She was also elected to and served one term as Trustee of the Brookline Public Library. A dedicated yogi, she has been a certified yoga teacher since 2019.
